Lolita outing

Me and Valerie recently met a new lolita in our area for tea and cakes at Andre's Suisse. I had never been there before. It was pretty fabulous.


I wore pompadour. I was also wearing that burnt red scarf that I had posted a little while back, but it got to be too hot. I thought taking an outfit shot in Victoria's Secret would be silly, so I did it.


We played with makeup. I really liked their glitter lipgloss, but as soon as I went outside with the wind I was reminded of why I never wear it.

Tea Party

The other day me and some friends went to a castle tea room for tea! This is what I wore.

Naka-kon 2011

Last weekend was Naka-kon 2011! I've been attending this convention since 2006, it's grown so much since then, back when I was the only lolita there.

On Saturday I wore my Marie Antoinette with a matching blue velveteen blazer and blue socks, but they always look so dark in pictures :\

Sunday was heretic day, my favorite day.

10 items 7 outfits challenge.

This was the monthly theme on EGL inspired by Kera magazine. You pick 10 items out of your wardrobe and attempt to make 7 outfits from them. It's a good test of how versatile your wardrobe is. When I shop I always keep in mind what colors and themes I already have so that something always has several things to wear it with.

One exception would be my Innocent World Pompadour dress, that was an impulse buy and I have absolutely no other brown or cream items to wear it with.

On to the outfits! I was supposed to take a photo of each of the 10 items, but I neglected that, sorry.

You'll notice that I am wearing my tea parties in all the photos, this was only because I could not find my t-strap heels at the time. That bustle skirt looks really silly with such sweet shoes, doesn't it? I am also distressed by the loss of the bows on my tea parties, I am in dire need of a new pair.

Wow! So PMX was amazing!

The guests included some very prominent lolita fashion designers such as; Yumi Fujiwara of Innocent World, and Miki Nohmoto of Alice and the Pirates. Mrs. Isobe, the owner of Baby, the Stars Shine Bright was also there.



I drew this as a gift for Fujiwara-san, however it was very rushed as I was trying to get it done before the festival, thus the legs are pretty wack D:

OHMYGOD I'M SO EXCITED. Innocent world, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, and Alice and the Pirates are going to be there!! I'm so excited that such excellent Lolita and Japanese fashion brands will be there, since that's what I tend to go to conventions for. I used to be really into anime, but not much anymore...

I just bought my plane ticket yesterday! It's also my time traveling out of Kansas (besides that part that I was born in Florida) so Yay!!

Outfit post

This is what I wore today!



Bodyline floral dress, Jesus Diamante replica heels, Forever 21 bow.
What do you guys think of this outfit? I'm really into the idea of casual lolita in the form of casual gal style/himekaji fashion, if that makes any sense? I hope it does.



I tried doing full gal makeup again, but I don't think i'll do the nude lips. It just makes me look old.

Marie Antoinette JSK that I got for my birthday, with the help of Valerie ;O;. The bolero is blue velvet, my camera didn't really pick that up so well. I still need some shoes to match.
Not much makeup that day, sorry ^^;;





Bodyline mint cookie dress and can can hat. The shoes are Jesus Diamante replicas. That's right, i'm reppin' the offbrand here.

Anime Fest Wichita

Anime Fest Wichita happened this weekend. It was a lot of fun for being the tiiiiiiniest convention I had even been to. I think there were only about 4 lolitas xD

The first day was Innocent World day! This was taken by some random photographer dude thus the superior image quality. However he was making me quite nervous, making me screw my face completely up and trying to look away xD sorry.



Sock shot! We recently got a SS order in and were very excited!



LARP lolita! There was a vendor in the dealer's room selling leather crafted items. We decided that this one looked sort of like wings and should be tried on!



Dollhouse print! I love this OP so much! Maybe I'll steal it, ahahahahaha.



White truffles! These guys were so nice ;^; they gave everyone hugs, and waved at us, and peeked out from elevators at us. We discovered that they were staying on the same floor, so we wrote them a note saying "We love you!" with little chibi doodles of us and slid it under their door!



There was a grand piano! I had to pose with it! Actually there were two. All I know how to play however is Frère Jacques (how on earth do I spell that?)



...for some reason I had to hide in the corner? I honestly can't remember why.

We thus decided it was time to emerge from the hotel in search of some real food (ie: not sweets) it was very humid outside, plus driving in lolita is awful, so we toned down our outfits a bit and added shades 8D



I beat up little girls! But actually, this was the boffer tournament. I was the weakest looking one there so they chose me to fight the little girl xDD. SO I KNOCKED HER OVER AND CHOPPED HER IN HALF! But not really, we had fun.

We ended up finding the boffers on the second day and decided to pose with them. Valerie looks much more dainty with it then I do.

The lolita tea party happened, but with hardly any lolitas xD. We met this cute girl and sat at a table with her and Disco Gay! I have her added on facebook~.
I really liked the tea sandwiches at the party! And there as a cellist and a violinist!
